Default bending from jacking up on frame w/ hydraulic jack, ques.?

im gonna install my suspension soon and need to jack my car up. does anyone know where i can buy the pads for hydraulic jacks and jack stands to prevent bending the stamped frame rail? i used to jack up all my nissans on the rails and they would bend, but i didn't really care untill i had a flat and had a hard time using the stock jack because they were so bent up. i don't want to damage them on my new car and am looking for an alternative. does anyone use these or another method? i was thinking about using a notched piece if wood, but don't know how strong they will be.

Dont do it one thrails. It is a painful sound. Use a more solid area. There is a nice spot near the swing arm in the rear and a nice spot near the front suspension cross member.

OK, to that above. I don't know any better.

If you want to jack on the rail, sure! a slotted piece of wood would be a help and, being wood, protects the paint.

refinement: a piece of saran wrap. A wad of epoxy putty stick. put the blob of putty on the -sides- of the wood. lay on the saran wrap. bring the jack up to moosh the putty to form-fit. let it harden. done. a home-made perfect pad for the jack.

i totally understand. i have more then enough experience w/ cars. but ive never jacked upi my car "properly"w/ pads for the frame rail. niether has anyshop that ive been to, that uses a lift, they bent the $h!t out of my last cars rail, or anybody else that i know who wrenches. this is from street, show, to race cars. everyone bends the damn rails! but w/ this car, being brand new i want to do it right. the only other way was jacking up on the beam axle or on the tow hitch but not every car has a tow hitch front and back.
