Default big day for the box!

Hey everyone,

I've been apart of SL for just over three years, and probably none of you know who I am. My name is Scott, and I have a '05 Thundercloud xB. I wanted to make this post to glorify my beloved Scion. (the "Box")

Through the ups and downs (and in-between), commutes to school and back, and numerous road trips, my xB has remained extremely loyal to me. Tomorrow (6/23/0 marks exactly 4 years since I took delivery of my vehicle from Covington Pike Scion in Memphis, Tennessee. My Scion has moved states with me, been nicknamed "the Mule" (for it's ability to hold massive amounts of school supplies, biking equipment, landscaping tools/plants, etc..), has rolled just over 66,000 miles and still looks and drives like its brand new.

With this being said, I took today to wash, wax and take a couple of photos. Thanks for reading this - I'll try to post on the forums more!

And the last photo of my Box in motion:

Default Old Box

I now have the new 2008 Gold XB and I really like it with all the airbags, spoiler, beautiful interior, smooth ride and etc, but when I pass by an '06- XB on the road like I had before for almost 3 years- well it's just like missing an old friend and I do get a little heart sick. Your box looks really great by the way and I know just how you feel!!!

4 years later and ONLY 66,000 miles?!? I've had mine a little over a year and a half, and I'm just about at 38,000 miles.

Thanks for the feedback, about the fisheye - my line of photography work doesn't allow me to use a fisheye lens, so when I took my Box out, I decided to pull out that lens for a few.

As for modding, slowly but surely I'm going to be working on:
-Wheels
-Suspension (~2 inch drop, haven't decided on springs or coilovers)
-Spacers

That's about all I'd like to do (at least for now), we'll see how it comes along, since I'm a full-time student.

The only thing I have added to my xB is the tail, which in my estimation, completes the look of the Scion. I don't know if its considered a mod or not, but I also upgraded the wheels from steelies/hubcaps to the actual wheel, but that was done when I took delivery.

being a full time student myself, i can say that you DEFINITELY can get the funds and time to mod it.

as for suspension, if you want to go racing get coils, if not, i suggest save your money and go with just springs. for 2inch, i recommend tein S-techs or tanabe DF210's.

by tail, do you mean taillight or spoiler ?
