Default Body shop guys, need advice

Someone backed up into me. Im lucky, the guy said he is going to pay for it. What is the best way to have this repaired to its original state? Do they usually try to pull the metal out, or do they usually bondo? I just wanted to get some different options before I go to the body shop. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure they can hammer that out and I'm sure a little bondo will be used to smooth it out just right. I have a rock chip on one of my fenders that I still have to get fixed...guh

If you can get behind that panel to hammer it out, they would do that and then smooth it out with bondoe, primer, then refinished as stated above.

There's no getting around using body filler. Thats just how its done.

If you CANT get behind it to bang it out, then the shop SHOULD tack weld on some pins with a special tool, then slap bar it out, again with a special type of slap bar that clamps onto the pins. after its shaped out decently the pins get cut of and ground down to the metal surface, and then the body filler, etc.

The ghetto way would be to drill a few holes, use a traditional slap bar to screw into the holes and slap out the dent, grind it down smooth, use a couple of types of body filler then refinish it.
