Bugs on the frontend...
seems like the front of this bus is just a bug magnet. i spend about 60% of the time washing my car straping off bug guts.
when i was at walmart lastnight i noticed a product by rainx that comes in a can you scray on your paint and let dry about 30 mins. guess its a film that washes off keeping the bugs from sticking. has only tried it or has some other product because i hate washing the front...

i have seen products like that before but i am always afraid of spraying something on my paint and keeping it there, it cant be good in the long run, and especially with the scion paint that is not too good anyway...
I'm also quite interested in hearing anyone's thoughts on a way to get those frickin bugs off, or a way to keep them from getting on in the first place. The front of the xB looks like a bug battle zone even AFTER some washes.
the bugs are definitely a pain, I just keep a micro-fiber towel and small bottle of quick detailer in the car...just takes a minute to wipe the front, haven't really found any other way to keep them suckers off....I don't like putting spray "shields

I just posted this last week in my Teams forums, and it works.
Buy some Simple Green and a stiff brush. I use the same brush i use on my wheels, along with the same Simple Green to clean them.
Soak the front of the car with water. Follow with the Simple Green on spray setting with the foaming attachment pulled out. Let it sit for just a minute. Gently brush the entire front end to break up the bugs and guts. Dont force the cleaner or brush into the cars finish. Rinse. Follow with your soapy water when you wash the car. Bugs and guts gone .. and it wont harm your finish ( if done correctly ). I have been using this method for well over 10 years now, and it worked just fine on my boss' 100K rig at work too.

I'm fairly sure simple green would remove your wax too.
I just wash it with Zaino car wash about every other week during the summer, or the next day after a long road trip with bugs galore.
Using a wax or polish twice during the summer should get any stubborn bug stains off.

A trick I learned from washing buggy motorcycle windshields is to lay a wet towel over the buggy areas and let it soak while washing the rest. Then when it's time to wash where the towel was, the bugs will be considerably softer and come off quite a bit easier.
