This has been discussed countless times and it almost always falls down to this simple point: people like to mod their cars and personalize them for uniqueness.

true but that is not the point here, these people are bored with their car...and they clearly want more power, seems like they started with the "wrong canvas" to mod...

if you want a 1.8 you could probally stroke it to a 1.8 and build it for crazy boost. SC or Turbo it.
Swapping is way to difficult and time/$$ intensive. Building a 1.6 would be easier. IMO

Ok, im BumbleBox's boyfriend under my own account know btw
the xA it is not available with the 1zzfe but it can be done its essentially the same stub frame as the xb,
the Elise motor is a 2zzge aka a Celica Gts and Corolla/Matrix XRS motor, the Gt celica and all other models of Corolla/Matrix have the 1zzfe
the trans i believe is a C58, dont quote me on that but that is the 5speed manual, if you wanted to use the C60 6 speed from the GTS/XRS it would bolt up ok, also if you really wanted to go nuts the C60 based sequential trans out of the MR2 Spyder would also work with some enginuity, its cool it actually is a manual 6 speed toyota modifyed to automatically push in and release the clutch perfectly everytime you hit the button to shift up, and it is a real MANUAL trans not just an Auto with a tip shift kit

I read on Toyota's website that a 1.3 and a 1.5 were the only available engines.
