Hey everyone, well my car got totaled and it's a complete loss anyways I'm removing the speakers and I can't open the trunk/hatch. If possible it will make getting those rear speakers easier if not no biggie. But every search I do is threads on how to replace the part where you open. If anyone knows how to or point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it thank you

 

Did u try to opening, by removing the inside rear hatch panel by pulling out the round plastic tabs and tinkering around inside the hatch shell? Maybe you can pop the lock.

How bad of a hit was it? May be you can still temporarily connect the battery and the hatch will open.

 

Funny thing up until this morning it was all working electricity was running through car radio came on doors opened. But then I pushed it so I can get to the passenger side door and no more electricity now only the doors open symbol stays on. I can't get to battery I can't open hood its bent up and stuck

 

How do I pop off these plastic thing holding the cardboard on the rear hatch/trunk. I I'm wiggling and trying to pop out and the damn thing won't pop off

 

The plastic plugs have a friction lock + should pull str8 out + be able to reuse. If you dont care about damaging them, use pliers + grab edge + yank str8 out. Other wise you can use something like a fork to slide in on the tab + pull up with even pressure.
