Default CD Holder (oven) light

How do you get the cover off that is covering the lights inside the so-called "easy-bake oven", or the little CD holder with the flip up cover (which ever name you prefer). I see two tabs in there, do I just take 2 flathead screwdrivers and push in on them and torque down, or is there more to it? I don't want to break anything, but I have a few extra red LED bulbs around and I'd like to change the color of that light. I'm guessing it's just a 194...is that right?

I haven't been successful in getting to the bulb that way. What I did was take the side accents off (silver pieces). Start from the bottom, wedging them out...then finish taking off the top. After that, the easy bake oven has...I believe 4 screws (maybe 2?). Unscrew them and the oven should come out. at the top, there will be two wires and a bulb socket. Just unscrew the socket and tada...you can get to the bulb!

Bro,the side strips should be removed from TOP to Bottom. The sequence is impt from preventing damage.USe something blunt/screw driver wrapped with lotsa black tape.Pry the 2 open and u will see some screws. Just remove the oven box by removing 4 screws. U will see a blub with an orange rubber cap. Replace the blub with whatever colour u desire.Cheers!

I've replaced this bulb, by taking everything out. I'm not sure what number bulb it is but it is a Wedge bulb. I made an adaptor to hook a 6 inch neon up to for mine. thinking of redoing it tho.
