Default Center console change for new 06 xB's!!! with pic goodness

This change may have already happened to some of the earlier 06's but I did not see anyone mention it. On the pic below you can see that the Passenger Air Bag/Seatbelt Warning Light is now right above the ashtray. I believe on the earlier models that there were 3 knockouts for switches to control your foglights, cathodes, road rage, whatever... Also notice that the space where the Passenger Air Bag/Seatbelt warning light used to be is still there and it does absolutely nothing. I may end up putting a Scion logo in there later.
Just thought I would point this out as I have not seen it discussed at all. I'm searching my box to see if there are any other differences. Here is the pic:

i dont like it, looks better with the 3 knockouts.
also, to keep the old place holder thing there looks silly.

I wonder why the change was made? Also, some modders may be a little peeved that they do not have the three knockouts...all I need is two so I'm not worried about it.

I wonder why they did that.... The old seatbelt light was flush and in the perfect spot. Not only did they move it to a place that's harder to see, but they LEFT A BLANK SPACE where is used to be! Makes no sense.

^ Exactly...I don't really care whether people like it or not (not much we can do about it now is there?), I would like to get to the bottom of why they did it.

Even when you do "get to the bottom of why they did it" there will still be not much you can do about it.

I can dig it...I was hoping someone in here would know a little something about why they would change it. I do not know enough to see a benefit for making the change.

WHEW!!!

I was all kinds of bent out of shape as my 06 has it the other way. I thought I had been had! Now I feel much better.

another noted change:
in that same picture it also now as the "max a/c" advisory on the temp dial. another dumb change . Does anyone really not know this information?

I think somebody in restyling is trying to justify their job by arbitrarily changing things that never needed to be changed. and arguably clutter up what was a rather clean interface before. That devolpment money could have gone to making a meaningful alteration like body color keying all the interior silver pieces instead. what a waste.

on the plus side the old passenger seat belt flasher spot can now be drilled and fitted with momentary switches to fire various car mounted weaponry such as stinger missles or high caliber machine guns.

the "max a/c" wording on the dial was already on the '05's as well (or at least mine) - just isn't on my 04 (or 03's).

the new placement of the passenger blet warning is incredibly stupid and looks like it's 5 steps backwards in the interior design. stupid stupid stupid design idea.
