the new placement of the passenger blet warning is incredibly stupid and looks like it's 5 steps backwards in the interior design.

Not on all 05s...I have an early 05 and dont have it. But I agree the seatbelt light looks dumb. It looks like it has same shape though couldnt you retro fit it in the original spot?

I have an '06 from late November last year and it does NOT look like that. Personally it looks like out of place.

man that looks like such an odd afterthought . you guys can probably remove that switch and put a knockout or another switch there.

WTF?? very odd with the movment of the pass. seatbelt.......Also my 05' xB does not have the "max A/C", while my sister's xB does have it....

Probably cheaper for Toyota not to replace the former pass. seat belt light section. Reason why they changed it? Not sure. Anyone notice that the new warning section is darker than the rest of the console? Maybe they ran out parts from the old air bag system and the new air bag system doesn't fit well to the old center console.

This change makes my 2004 more unique:
Door sticker states MPV
No "Max A/C" wording
PUSH button audio system ("Knobless)
ONE vanity mirror...no vanity mirror for the passenger.
