I was recently the target of vandalism...as a thief tried to break into my car...key word is tried...looks like they stuck a screw driver in the drivers side door lock and were succesful in breaking the lock....I got a new lock from a dealer and am now wondering as to how easy it is to change the lock myself...reason being the dealer wants 190 to change the lock...

I can't say for sure because I've never done it. It doesn't appear to be that difficult. I'd suggest taking the door panel off, give it a hard look, and judge for yourself.
