Wow, TYC headlight with a retrofit... that's pretty hot right there.

 

thats hot right thuuur...i dont know about $500 but i would pay $200 easily, break them apart and paint the inside black...

 

now THAT is how you do hid. props to whoever made those. i'd like to see some more pictures up-close before i would ever pay that kind of money. i've seen retros that look fine and dandy from 5 feet away and then you get up close and see someone didnt really take their time on the project.

would still be cheaper to make your own as well.

 

It wouldn't be cheaper to retro with those headlights... Those TYCs are outrageously expensive without the modification... that's actually a decent price, all things considered.

No, can't make it to the auto show.
I do have some plans for a hid retro for the up coming season though. Just need to find some headlights(non aftermarket)

 

I've seen a set on Craigslist for $20...
I was half tempted to do the same, but I like my blackout ones better.

 

actually you are right considering the cost of those headlights. yikes.

well if you're willing to work with stock headlights...you can do it cheaper.
