Default Chip in Windshield Already on my Third one

This is my thrid windshield I have in my XB. I was driving and a rock came off a truck and put a little chip in the Windshield. It is not that bad. It would not bother me except it is right in the middle of the drivers side so I have to stare at it when I drive. Does anyone know if there is anything to do to fix this without having the windshield replaced? I SERIOUSLY THINK I MIGHT WRITE A LETTER TO SCION ABOUT THE DESIGN FLAW IN THE WINSHIELD. A NORMAL WINDSHIELD SHOULD NOT CRACK THREE TIMES IN ONE YEAR. PLUS MY DEDUCTABLE IS $100 A WINDSHIELD. THIS IS GETTING REDICULOUS. I MIGHT JUST TRADE IN THE XB.

All Three times it was because of an 18 wheeler. 2 of them were gravel trucks and didn't have a cover on their load. The stuff just flies right off of it.

Default Windshield

Welcome to my world!
I am on my third too! I think the verticle positioning has a lot to do with the damages.
Also if you have a chip usually these can be repaired - check in yellow pages. For only $100 deductable though I might be tempted to go with the new windshield.

Some insurance companies will forgo the deductable to have the windshield repaired. It cost you nothing that way and the repairs are not detectable. Call your agent and check on it. State Farm has that policy here. The damage has to be within certain limits to come under this policy.

My policy will replace the windshield once a year no questions asked.
But I have repaired 3 chips about the size of a quarter with a kit I got at Auto Zone for about $10 not perfect but unless I told you,You would not know.

I have a three dings in the windshield 2 very small can hardly see them, one just above the hood cannot even see it from the inside. This does seem to be a common problem with the xB

I called the glass shop and he said he would wave the $100 deductable. I'm on my 4th one now.
