im definetly going with either the Blue Mica or the pale yellow. Just havent decided which I like better. The reason I'm going with the JDM colors, is because its something a lot dont do. They go with their Corvette red or PPG Shimmering Blue. I just want to be different.

Yeah, I guess after reading all of this, paint codes for the
JDM cars would really help, huh?

 

it would be cool. at least for the older bBs and stuff like that. the guy whose doing my paint can find out the code if i tell him the color name. i just gotta decide what color i like better now

yea ive been doing a lot of the Translation sites figuring out all my JDM needs lately. It's tough stuff to figure out.

I guess thats life. I just wish there was a site like you mentioned that could provide all the older JDM colors

Two different sites show that as Yellow Mica (which is a metallic and not like the
OD color I have seen.

There is Signal Yellow (Code 567):



Solar Yellow is Code 576--Also called Super Bright Yellow

Yeah, there are many yellows, but you realize they are going back to 1970 in that list?

I looked through the Toyota Blues (any code starting with 8**) and there were
about 5 times more then the yellows, and that's not including the Lexus lineup!!

I saw some really cool names for some of the blues, but no paint samples.
I'd have to hit Keytone Automotive and check out some books.

Yellow would be more unique I think.

 

Both are hot but the blue one has been done before...
The pale yellow with silver has an almost reto vibe to it, which is kewl.
I think either way would look best if the pillars were left black, however

 

If it matters I, as a fellow Nebraskan, vote yellow. I think it is a very cool color of yellow, and I'm not a huge yellow fan

The yellow does look nice. If it were me, I'd bring the black line across the door handles, angling down in the front to hit the side marker and then come even with the front bumper...

 

My guess is it's the Signal Yellow that you were looking for SSL. That's got the 'creamy' look to it that is on some of the bB OD's.

 

I did some searching in Japanese Toyota forums and paint sites for you, and it seems there are two "Yellow Mica Metallic's" in the JDM Toyota paint list --#580 and #584. #580 is for the Vitz and #584 is for the bB. Here's the list of codes I could find for the JDM bB's so far (using the JDM names):
