I been looking at all the posts and I am confused. I have been told by all the Scion salesman in the Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas that there is no Salsa Red for the 2006 xB? I have seen posts that argue and state that both the xA and xB have this new color. The Scion web site does not show this for the xB? It does show this color for the xA. I do not want to call the salesmen idiots most do not know the Scions it is like a Cadillac dealer selling Fords yes it is a car but they do not know what is going on. Has anyone purchased a Salsa Red Scion xB my wife wants one and Blue is her second color. I even thought the xB would look nice in Salsa Red I really like the green for the RS 3.0 I would not mind waiting for that one. PLEASE HELP

Many dealers seem to NOT confirm salsa red is coming. The ones I have talked to in my area will not deny it but they basically say they haven't heard of it coming out. But I keep hearing reports that from posts (some from dealers) on here that Salsa Red will begin production in December and be in the States by January.

I have a couple thoughts on this. 1) It doesn't make sense as to why Scion would have not shipped Salsa Red now since they are doing it with xA now. If you can do it with the xA why not the xB? 2) On the flip side, if Salsa Red is coming out around Dec/Jan, I understand why dealers are not admitting to it because many people will wait to buy and they do not want you to wait 5 to 6 months.

Personaly I am waiting on either Salsa Red or the possibility of RS 3.0. Which I don't believe we will really know if they are making one until probably January. At least that is when Scion officially announced the RS 2.0
Who really knows? For every dealer that tells you one thing there is another that says something completely different.

 

I talked to my dealer, and he confirmed Salsa Red will be coming out in or around December.

 

They are also coming out with a gray color, which I believe is currently used on other Toyotas. The RS3.0 is believed to be "Green Mica", as mentioned in another thread...

Camo's my favorite color, with TCM coming in a close second.

 

So than flint mica /shadow mica, whicher the two its going to be will most likely be out December/January time period? I'm waiting on that one, cant wait!

 

Shadow mica and salsa red will join the xB color line-up prolly in time for Christmas

This info is confirmed and we should start seeing units allocated on the 15th of December.
