From rented Camry back to my XB--What a difference!
Well, I finally have Whitey back after scraping her passenger side fender against a post in a parking ramp AND hitting a deer. Interestingly. all the deer collision did was pop out the insert over the fog light hole, and also pop out the insert over the far side of the lower honeycomb grille. Anyhow, while she was in the shop, I rented an '06 Camry. And, while the Camry is a smooth ride (seems to drive itself), it's SOOOOO dull. Like my old Buick--a great, solid car, but just no fun. Plus I had to re-acquaint myself with the different windshield angle.
Within minutes of getting the XB back, I was craning old people's heads again. Then, when I stopped to fill her up at the Shell station, I noticed the cute girl was extra nice when taking my money. You can guess what came next--"How do you like your Scion? How much room is in the back seat? How does it drive in the snow? What comes standard on it?...."
Good to be "thinking inside the box" again!
