Default Custom Paint

Hey all!

While I'm sittin' here waiting on my TCM xB to show up I've been thinking about what I want to do to it. So I'm curious about custom paint jobs. I'm not talking about the whole box, just something to give it a kick. I see a lot of people do flames so I kinda want to avoid that.

I haven't been too impressed with any of the stick on side graphics.

About the only thing I've come up with that might be interesting is painting everything from the bottom of the windows up black. Maybe the paint the very bottom part of the aero kit black as well.

I know costs will vary with what you have done, but any ballpark figures on a simple enhancement?

Anyway....anyone got any good ideas or suggestions? Any good sites with examples?

How about any Denver, CO area shops to check out?

Thanks!

I'd black the roof and put on a black spoiler and grill. If you don't have foglights, get some of the black kickouts and pop em in.

The reason I wouldn't do from the windows up is because you'd have a line in the paint where the back fender goes up and over the roof.

Scion_Child: Nice. Something along those lines. Not exactly that. Something subtle maybe.

DJ_X_Trodinaire: It's just a thought at this point. I guess it does make it look like an SUV. I did notice today that some Minis have that exactly style of paint. And of course we dont' want to start lookin like a Mini!

Anyone else got some ideas or suggestions?

I want to paint mine yellow. I think the xB would look great with a nice shade of yellow.

Do the wet paint look! you know the mini truck splat on the front in lme green!

Or not...

I think it would be cool to do like a "in motion" look do the bottom black and have it
kinda tearing up and back, almost like jagged scallops coming from the bottom, up
and towards the back. I hope that your seeing in your mind what I have in my head.

Or a subtle tribal design going around about marker light high around the whole thing
would be cool, OH.. I got it.... Have a bright. almost silverish white tribal go
around and have it break up the black top from the TCM bottom...! That would be
sweet. You could have the tribal Air-brushed to look like metal blades or somthing
cool...

Ok, i'm calm...

Dealer here locally has this one for sale. I think it's neat if you are cool with that whole graphics thing.

Maybe try something like the Maybach 62 color scheme:

http://www.edmunds.com/new/2004/mayb...2F023156-T.jpg

Or flip the colors of the Maybach (black on sides, grey on front/roof/hatch)

Just a thought...
