Then don't get it if your not "totally" liking it. If your not sure if you want it don't let anyone talk you into it. Its what YOU want not what someone else likes. Don't be in a hurry to buy any car that "people like", think about it and look around.

Sorry to hear about that happened to your beloved xB. That sux so bad...

I hope everything works out for you.

I'm sorry to hear it was stolen. Whatever car u do get- makes sure and purchase lojack. A couple of dollars for piece of mind.

That cant be a good thing stealing a car from a church parking lot.

I heard the xB is super-easy to break into...

that's the main-est thing keeping me from putting in a PC/stereo/etc..

people suck. Sorry to hear it bro. Don't buy a GTI. Buy another xB and a camera/DVR system for your driveway and house.

next time, add an alarm with 2 way page, and starter kill., like the viper 791, problem solved.. DEI will pay your deductable if your car gets stolen then..
all cars are super easy to break into... give me 30 seconds and i can be in.. just depends on what they want your car far, and how badly they want it.. at least if you have an alarm with 2 way page, and starter/ fuel pump kill, you will be alerted when the entry is made, and the car can not be started.. if it is started, the fuel system will shut down. also you may want to get a seperate back up battery for the alarm, if the main power wire to the alarm is cut, the alarm will not fail you... most any installer would recomend that anyway..

Im sorry to hear that. I hope the cops or someone catches the guy who stole it.

what every you buy there is something i helped a friend do to his 300zx and that was find the signal wire for the fuel pump and splice in a switch and hide it somewhere only you can find. Someone accually did try breaking into it an stealing it but could not get it started but his cd player was stolen. Im thinking about doing this with my xB.

If you gave me $14,000 and the Rabbit, I'd think about it. I had one of the original ones, and VW has only gotten worse in the 30 years since. If you get a VW, make sure you like the service dept. waiting area, because you'll be there a LOT!.

Uh, no. VW HAS gotten better. What has happened is that everyone else has gotten . . . uhhhh . . . MORE better. By that I mean that Toyota, Honda, et al, have improved at a higher rate than VW, so it appears that VW has gotten worse, relatively. I've got my box, and I won't consider another car until it's worn out, but I wonder what I'd do if I were in the market now . . . . I had a Wabbit in '76 and it's the ONLY car I cared about as much as I care about my box now, and I'd really HAVE to go look at the New Rabbit . . . if I were looking, which I'm not . . . .

My xB was stolen a few months ago, luckily, my girlfriend and I found it parked the next day! The thieves did no damage. All they stole was my iPod, but still it was a terrible experience. I have a Viper 791XV now! Anyway, I hope the cops in your area, are better at being cops then they are in my area!!! I feel for you dude!!

Its sad when you have to find your own car. Make sure you notify the police that you found it. One time I picked up my Toyota Van from being stolen for the second time and got stopped by the cops on my way home. They had not cleared the theft from their system.........

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I think I am going to have to call my insurance to make sure I am covered for the mods. They add up after awhile....... Hopefully someone just stold it for a joy ride. I had my Toyota Van stolen twice. Once I had a brand new Silverado lowered stepside next to it and the van was stolen so the thiefs posse could be driven around. Good luck!!

Sorry to hear about your box. I considered the new GTI before deciding on the xB. The GTI was smaller, more expensive, had worse gas mileage, not as good warranty, and new VWs don't seem as reliable as new Toyotas (from what I've heard, anyway). I'm going for practicality, not performance. My car I drive now (I have to sell her before buying an xB) is a 1999 Eclipse GSX, which is Turbo/AWD. If I was going for performance, I'd keep her!

I just saw the commercial for the new Rabbit...finally a new VW at a great price! But, it still has average gas mileage and is not as spacious as the xB...cute commercial, though!

Like everyone has been saying: buy something that YOU love...not what someone else does. Let us know what you decide!

Default thanks everyone..

thanks every one for the advice and comments.
right now, i'm hoping cops don't find my car back if the car is not in normal condition.
and i also heard that VW cars has a lot of problems but the new GTI looks fine and sound fine though.
i really don't know right now.
