Default just saw my car.

i saw my car today and broke my heart...
whole bumper is missing.. very simple to describe ..
fogs, grill, bumper , lower grill of course.. intake, header, everything except for engine is missing.
and no side skirt no visor. no wheels as expected. no seats.
no audio. no a/c, no dash.
this is easier to describe the car that there is only steering wheel left inside.
so what is left over is my license plate, door pannel, engine, and shell..

in addition.. those matha f*$kers stole my mum's car too yesterday...
i have nothing to say...........

Well, I guess on the bright side, it sounds like your car is pretty much totaled.

Does (did) your Mom have an xB too?

sorry for your loss. many have asked - but no answers - is the XB easy to steal/break into?

The xB is no more nor less difficult to break into than the average new car. With even just the OEM optional alarm the odds improve somewhat. Still as easy to break into, allegedly more difficult to drive away.

Default how my car was stolen

i saw my car and figured out how they stole mine.
it semms like they duct taped the window and broke the window.
and then they put the tranny in neutral and they pushed the car out and then towed it.
i could see the window broken and duct tape residue makrs around the window.
that way, no alarm will be activated even if the theif broke into the car.
but those alarms installed in cars like benz or other high end cars will activate even if somebody broke the window without any sound or impact cuz those security systems are being alarmed by detecting the motion inside the car while they were activated.

So unless the door was opened the alarm would'nt go off? You think you might find out what your options will be for getting your box replaced tomorrow?

That sux bro! But check it out, i had a 2001 GTI n it fell apart on me! I loved that car to death n put everything i had into it but there was always some kind of BS problem n even with the 5 year extended warranty, the dealership wouldnt cover SH**!!! Very sad! I would say stay away from VW, i got mad love for them but not worth the trouble! Plus VW parts are very expensive!

Did you get it back in a repairable condition, will insurance cover repairs, what's missing from it? Hopefully you have receipts for any mods installed that were stripped from it. Did they catch the theives, and if not, is there anything unique that was stripped from it so that we can all be alerted if we see it for sale?
We're all hoping for the best for you I'll be praying that all goes well.

If they are looking for proof you actually HAD those wheels, pics of your box with them on should suffice. If they are looking for proof of the price of those wheels, a pic of your box with them on and information on one or more sources for them should suffice.

Heck, give 'em pics and supplier references and tell 'em the receipts were in your glove box - mine are (along with the reciepts for service, etc., for warranty coverage, should I need it at any time)...

Tom

Good luck!
