Does anyone know of a company that makes alarm sirens with different tones than the one that comes with 95% of all the aftermarket alarms out there?
I used to have an Audiovox alarm that chirped and honked my horn when I unlocked/locked the doors.
I just upgraded to a Hornet 564t Remote Start/Alarm and it has the typical 1980's car alarm sound.

I am looking for something that sounds different when I lock and unlock and the alarm get's triggered. Anyone ever heard the old BMW alarms from the M couple and older M models? How about when Vin Diesel locks his RX7 in parking garage in the first Fast and Furious after the race get's broken up by the cops?

Can someone help me? Maybe record a sound of their own? From what I am told, you can just add a different siren to the alarm and it should be fine?

 

the siren itself is what generates the tones not really the alarm. you can get a talking module for most alarms that speaks tones, and possibly will allow you to recordyour own..
as long as your pager beeps when the alarm goes off thats what really matters most, well to me anyway... when it beeps i run out with the 9mm...

 

Dang, remind me not to bump into your car! I'm interested in this too. Anyone know if you can just toss in another car manufacture's alarm "siren/horn"?

 

the guy who did my alarm said you could just throw in a different siren and it would work....just to find sound bites so we can hear what they sound like......

 

anyone here work at a shop that installs aftermarket alarms that may have some old stock alarms sitting around that they'd want to sell cheap?

if you have a hornet, then check on DEIs web site and see if they can help you, any of their stuff will swap out b/c it is all the same company, viper,clifford, python, hornet, etc...

I looked at their stuff but they don't offer any sound clips...I just don't want a siren that has the same sound/tone as every other siren out there....
they make look different and have different decibel levels but I am almost certain they will all have the same sound/tones

talk to jay_jay_n on this forum he has one that has a japanese girl speaking and I believe he can record on it also.

 

still very interested in this. since i have a mini transformer theme going with my car, i was trying to find ways to either modify my horn, or more preferably my alarm, to sound like the transformers transforming. been searching around with no luck. anyone got clues or at least help me in my search a lil more??
