Default Does lowering the box hurt it???

I got a question for y'all. I was thinking about lowering my xB, when I get rims, but the thing that's concerning me is if it will hurt the suspension after awhile. I've seen civics here that show the tires like at an angle, like their about to turn into the tires from the Dolorean from Back to the Future lol. Anyways I wanna know if theres more I have to do to it besides the springs, such as new shocks and a camber kit (I heard a camber kit is supposed to keep the wheels aligned all the time). Let me know!

when the wheels are like that it they are camber, unless you are talking about so POS rice crap whos shocks are worn out. I havn't heard of anyone needing new shocks :keep your fingers crossed:

i was 'told' and this hold no validity other than the tech who said this so by no means use this as your guide to make any decision..

I put TRD springs on (bad choice on my part) and did NOT get new shocks, I was a little bit concerned and asked a master tech what he thought and said and I quote

You wont have any real problems with your xB but your shocks will give somewhere after 12,000 miles maybe even 18,000 depending on how you drive, but your still in warratny and we put them on so you are in no real danger
now if you have my scenario I guess it would give you some idea, as long as warranty is good I wouldnt worry too much for the frist 10k

but I could be wrong, just giving my .2 cents

The camber kit allows you to adjust just that alignment spec. Negative camber is when the wheels tilt in at the top like on a lot of lowered Hondas. Too much camber and you will eat tires up super fast. The kit allows you to you push the wheel back out like it was at the factory ride height so you don't have that problem. I don't think most people who lower Scions get camber kits because the the setting doesn't tend to change as drastically as it does on Hondas or other cars. I don't think the rear changes at all because of the suspension design. Just take your car by a shop and have them check the alignment and they can let you know if it is much out of spec (which it shouldn't be). Most also haven't changed struts, I guess they aren't absolutely necessary. I don't know how long they'll last though.
