Default electrical trailer hook up

Has anyone put a pig tail on their car? U-haul wanted to put a power module for $60.00 or so to by pass the computer. I had one on a tundra and a camery and the used a simple electrical hook up to the wires at the tail ight.

The xB in not designed to tow!- that whould be why toyota did not include any "quick-connect" system. Read you owners manual- It clearly states that is has a ZERO tow rating,,,,,

I agree, but this keeps coming up. If people want to tow let them do this at their own risk. I think for very light loads it may work. I'm not going to risk it myself. I'm sure someone that has done this can help out on wiring.

Please look at http://www.hitch-web.com/vhitch.asp?...ID=6&VID=28036

There is a wiring kit that you have to splice into the rear lights and connect the box to the 12v battery so you don't blow the relays. There are also two Class 1 receivers to choose from. hope this helps.,
