Default Engine Coolant Light (Blue) Brand new Xb!

Long story shirt, picked up my XB, missing windshield wiper fluid, and engine coolant, had to buy some my own. The dealer is getting one nasty letter from me asap. My ? is, I filled it with the 50.50 stuff, but the light still comes on at startup then goes away. Thanks guys

the blue light is actually your engine warm up light... blue means cold, red means overheating...

Toyota actually uses a RED antifreeze...

Did you buy your xB new? The stock coolant is rated at 100K miles before it needs to be replaced.

Way to jump the gun - good thing you didnt' write that letter - you would have looked like even more of a fool.

Not to be a Smart ****--but read your owners manual. Did you add coolant?? If so you may have too much in there now. There are a number of little lights that can and do come on and you need to know what they are.........

Maybe you should ahve bought a bike, like a 21 spd lol.

But man, seriously read and research these kind of things, before you do them.

Now your 50/50 mix is off, and you put the wrong color in there. Why didn't you even look to see what to put in, if any at all?
