Default Engine Shaking and hood ratteling

So I have been hearing this rattle sound that only happend when I had my foot on the brake and the car is in drive, it happend the other day while I was at my cousins house and he put hi hand on my hood and it stopped. So we poped the hood and while the car is in Drive (AT) and you have a foot on the brake the engine shakes really hard, now i know there is alot of stress but enough to make the hood latch rattle. Im taking it in tomorow but I thought I would throw a ????? is this normal ???? to all of you.

I've not had the problem, but have 'heard' that it is a mismounted A/C hose/pipe easily taken care of. True? I dunno. Mine is quiet and smooth.

I just noticed that today while my car was idling with the defroster on ( a/c running ) it would vibrate and make nasty sounding quiet sounds. as soon as i'd turn the defrost off wa la no more sound/ vibration. i wont be looking forward to that this summer while in traffic. I distrust dealers so I better find the tsb file on the fix. shouldnt be too hard hopefully just a bit of adjusting and no releasing of lines.

Well, Im not sure what to think now all the guy at the dealership said was that I just neede to raise the rubber bumpers for the hood and that would tighten the hood and make it stop rattling....... I said but I heard about this hose problem and I dont want there to be an engine problem....he says the AC system is a closed system and that there isnt anything like that on the car but if I still have the problem to bring it back and they will check it after sitting for a while (like over night) and look at it in cold mode. Im a little frustrated right now as you can probably tell!

I'll be hitting the dealer with this along with the A/C TSB soon. We've had a couple 90+ temp and humidity lately.

Well as for the other post my noise went away with raising the hood bumpers.... but the engine still shakes really hard when stopped in the "Cold" Mode. Do you rember which hose or pipe?? I looked under my hood for something yesterday and couldnt find anything out of place but when in drive and stopped the RPM's drop so that the Air intake is shaking really hard, and while shifting the engine moves, Rocks rather when you shift. is that normal??

Do you have an aftermarket intake or have you done any work around the intake tract lately? Just a tiny air leak between the MAF and intake will cause your engine to run rough like that at idle under load. Bigger leaks just make it worse. Just a thought.

it just could be normal too. remember you have an inline 4 cyl motor. the more cylendars you have the smother the motor. a grounding kit i heard would help the idle out. but don't quote me on it
