In an effort to improve gas mileage I tried driving a full tank at (or close to) the speed limit. I also turned the AC off as much as possible and relied on the fan for some air. I filled 9.582 gallons after going 360.7 miles. This amounts to 37 miles a gallon. Not sure I can go that slow for too long and I know that it is going to get hot here soon, but I improved about 7 mpg during this one tank test.
A/C and fuel economy was one of the reasons i bought my XB.. I think i can live with some miles less but living on a Hot Caribbean island where is hot all year long i dont think id live w/o A/C... Specially after being driving my previous car w/o A/C for the past 2 years...Now that i have A/C again i dont hink id want to let that go..
