Default Getting a lo-jack installed today....

In my neighborhood, it's a great idea.

The dealer told me I would have transportation, but they didn't tell me it was a shuttle and that said shuttle wouldn't be leaving for another hour. I wasn't happy, and they wanted to make it right.

So, today I am driving a 2007 Blue Ribbon Metallic Camry. I haven't driven a car in probably 4 or 5 years. It's a little odd, but it is a nice ride.

What do you consider the box to be?

It's a mini SUV.

SUV's are all I have ever driven.

since I've started modding my car, I've been caring more about my car and would like to upgrade my security - how much did it cost to get lojack installed?

lojack is pretty sweet. there are several threads on here about people getting their cars back real quick after a theft cuz of lojack. Definately worth it. Depending on the plan, its anywehre from like $150-$1000 .But the lojack install has changed recently, so im not sure if this reflect current prices

I got the early warning system in mine. If the car moves more than 5 feet without the sensor on my keychain attached, I get an email, text message, and phone call.

It's not the worst neighborhood, but it's no where near the greatest.

You''ll have to let us know how the install went and how it works...Sounds like something I need to look into. How do you like the Camry? It was Motor Trend COTY ....

Camrys are sweet, the V6 SE and XLEs are fast. They have like 260 HP. The ones with the factory ground effects, and 18s look really good.

Avalons are even cooler though. Nav, 260 HP, 18s, Tiptronic, what more can you ask for?

The Camry was sweet, but it felt like the windsheild was right in my face.

The install went smooth as silk. I feel better protected already.

I love my lojack, havent had to use it thankfully. But the one downside I have noticed....if you have ever been in an accident, and you have to do body work ie: have any panels repaired or replaced...you need to take the car to the dealer to have them run a "lojack diagnostic" to make sure it is still on the car. My first system, left after I had an accident, it was still on damaged car part.
Costs bout $100 bucks for every diag. tho....____er but worth it.
