Default Getting my xb soon!

Waiting on the call to go get my 05 xb BOP, it has 182,000 miles 5 speed. I know it has alot of miles but I plan on using this box for work and back(150 mile min commute daily). Started crunching numbers and xb will pay for itself in the first year just on gas saved from driving my dodge ram 5.9($10,500 was my fuel bill last year) He has agreed on 3400, here is the kicker though salvaged title due to box getting keyed, I'm not to worried about it cause I'm going to wrap it with my company logo.

Besides the key marks and a few little dents, the body looks good and the interior looks to be in decent shape. I was sold when I first test drove it, it was actually fun with the stick. Final decision is the smog numbers.

Just wanted to see what you fellow members had to say about this xb.

By the way I'm already hooked on the forum and I don't even own one yet.

Lotta miles, but if it is maintained, you should be able to get another 100K. The gas savings are going to be ridiculous.

BestMPGxB is a user on this forum who has a manual xB. He consistently gets above 40MPG in his box. Check out his threads to see how to maximize your xb mpg.

Another 100k would be nice, even if the motor gives a motor swap doesn't scare me. Leaving now to go get it, I hope it does good on smog......

It passed! Smogged pretty well, the hc's and the ppm were a little on the high side but that's pretty normal for a high mileage motor. Owner actually change the plugs before we went so we could see how well it was running. The plugs looked fine, worn but nice brown color.

I'm stocked with my purchase and can't wait to start saving on gas. Already a proud owner.

$3400 is a pretty good price, especially if the car doesnt give you any mechanical problems! Good luck!

Didn't get to take it to work today but just took it for a cruise. So far the only mechanical issue is the driver side door actuator doesn't work already found DIY, and 2 tires are showing a little rot. The box has gsr blades on it and actually looks pretty good. My buddy is going to give me his 15" enkies so don't know what to do with the blades.

Can't wait to get this wrapped though cause the key job is pretty bad. Looking for a rack right now, need to be able to hold a 6 four ladder.

Here she is with the slightly used rack I just got. This thing is amazing on fuel. I used to spend $50-60 a day in my ram. I filled up the box for $32 and used a 1/4 tank with 1 day of service calls. I'm so happy with my purchase its already starting to pay for itself.

holy 4x4 mode! first thing you need to do is get some springs! the tanabe df210 can be found used for really cheap! other than that it looks good for 180k+ miles!
