First time poster, long time reader here. I have been looking to purchase a scion xb and finally, after a year, i am making the plunge. I am looking at a black and clean box, and was wondering what types of extras you guys got when purchased. Right now I have only added spoiler, fog lights and floor mats. I was wondering what others would recomend i get or not get. Also, I know that the 2006 model will be out soon, but when exactly will they be coming. Should I wait till they come out and get them. I read that there is an ipod connector that i would be really interested, but somewhere it said it would only come witht he upgraded 6cd changer model. Is that true? Well hope to hear what you guys think, and hope to be a proud new owner soon!

if you can help, try to get the options through aftermarket dealers. you can save a pretty penny that way. only option i did with the dealer was the fogs to consolidate into my monthly payments, but the mats can be had on ebay for ~50 as opposed to 120 at the dealer.

don't know anything about the ipod connector for 06s, been using an RCA adapter for minidiscs and loving every minute of it!

Good job with fogs and spoiler. That's all I'd get from a dealer. The mats are very nice and I highly recommend them, just not from a dealer.

 

Thanks for all the advice, I think I am gonna take your advice and get the floormats elsewhere. The family is taking a trip to the Phillipines soon and I will try and special order some custom named mats :D The main reason I would get the options from dealer, was they said that if I were to install myself, I would void the warranty, and I dont wanna do that just yet I will be ordering soon, and will post pics of my black box :D

Anyone have any experience with a ipod radio connector in the xB? I was told that sound quality varies between cars and I was wondering if anyone uses one.

besides, it's nice having those things in a monthly payment. only increases it by like $5~$10 anyway
