Default Halo/Projector Light Question

I've been thinking of going with the halo/projector headlights, but I have heard they have poor light output.

What type of bulb goes into the projector side, and is it possible to put Silver Stars in the other light slot?

the ones i have, sonars, use a 9006 for the projectors i believe, so yes you can put in silverstars. im skipping that and going strait for HID.... but yeah you can do it.

Sunny, the ones i have have awsome llight output. I'm rockin 9006 SilverStar Ultras for lows and the ones that came in them for high, except for my passenger one, its a rainbow blue...

I bought projrctors with halos from Spyder and they are most excellent. I haven't had an issue with there being too little light.

How much would it cost to get HID's in projectors/halos? How hard would it be too? I was thinking about getting some too but the light output was the thing holding me back too.

Once you put in HIDs it ups the output no matter what...

The price would be the projectors plus the price of the HIDs...its not ususlly a conversion, because most HID bulbs come in different sizes, that slip in the stock socket.

brighter than the h4 halogens i had in the stocks. i was impressed with the output for the price and the look that you get with the halos. wire em up to switch, they look sweet at night.

I have sonars on my xb. I like the look but the light output is poor so I run the fogs. low beams are 9006 / 51w I would like to put hid's but there is a sticker on the side that said not for hid's.

Is the light output better on the clear projectors or the blue tinted?

It depends on what you mean by "better" .

Assuming otherwise identical projectors, there is more light output from clear . . . because blue tinted ADDS tint, therefore reducing light . . . .
