Heating Issues with 06 Xb
Hey All,
I didn't know which sub forum to put this in. So its here. Haha. Anyways, there is something wrong with the heating in my xB, it seems as if something is obstructing the heat from getting into the ventilation.
I was wondering what I could do on my own without giving it to the dealership, since they told me theyd have to take off the dashboard to look at it. And it would cost a lot to do that.
Thanks!

Instead of taking it to the dealer try taking it to a local repair shop and see if they can diagnose the problem. Maybe best to call around first and ask "how much will you charge for an estimate on my Scion Xb heater problem?"
It might just be a loose hose or something along those lines. I never take the car to the dealer unless it's under warranty, they aren't all that special and they just rip you off. The Xb isn't any tougher to work on then most other small imports.
Hope this helps and/or save you a few bucks. Please remember to chime back in when you figure out what the problem was. Good Luck!

make sure your radiators getting hot that you have heat and then check the temperature control **** to make sure it moves the flap valve cable under the dash, its right near the gas pedal area. There are diagrams on line showing the blowup of the heating system.
