Default Hey everyone....I MIGHT just be a convert!

Hey guys/gals,

just a little history....

I'm a HUGE Honda guy. been for about 13 years now, raced civic's for about the past 6 years. I currently own and race a 2000 Honda Odyssey, yes the minivan. 100 shot of nitrous, intake, TB, exhaust, lowered, bodykit, 18" wheels, S2000 push button starter, 1400 watts into two CDT Audio 10's, components....yadda yadda yadda.

Well, i was at the detroit autoshow, and was impressed with how Toyota/scion is marketing there cars. honda should take a lesson on marketing to the youth movement

which is where I come in. see, i'm 39, 2 kids, I drive a minivan and a 4 door civic, have a nice house with a couple acres....and LOVE the scion! I really like the xB, and what i've seen scion do with it. haven't seen a stock version yet! everyone is tricked out...just the way it should be for the market!

I'm so impressed, that i'm actually going to try and get scion/toyota to give me one to race/show...lol...yeah i know, i'll try anyway! If not i'll be looking into getting one when it's time to replace the civic.

Nice display of aftermarket parts already, nice display of how a import/performance car is SUPPOSED to look like! (i.e. have you seen an Si lately! yargh!) worst part is, I sell Honda's! Thoroughly love the Si, but the cost is pathetic for what you get, and it's damn ugly! at least the scion is cheap! right??!!

I'm excited about the scion....and mad as hell at Honda! i'm about to write a 10 page complaint letter to consumer affairs! Heck, next thing you know, i'll be selling scion's

later all, and thanks!

Welcome to the dark side! j/k

Where in Ohio is North Ridgeville? My fiance is from the Dayton area, and I used to go to Miami. Just curious.

The Scion is an awesome ride. Good luck getting a dealer to give you a freebie, but even if you have to pay for them, they're still just as cool.

Welcome to the boards!

North Ridgeville is west of Cleveland. I used to live in the Dayton Area, Enon!

I work in streetsboro, which is about 40 minutes south/west of where I live.

nice to be here.....

hey jon,

remember that odyssey that was all pimped up and right next to all our scions at importfest? That thing was sick...it was on airbags and everything!

Cleveland is fun....but I have to say Put-in-Bay is probably the best thing Ohio has to offer! Viva South Bass Island!

LOL....haven't been to put-in-bay in a few years!

as for the van....lol....it's turned more heads than my 13 second all motor civic ever did! more teens want that van than I can count....i'll have the only kid that WANTS to drive the minivan!

Van has run a fast time of 14.9@94 mph! that's with NO traction (crappy Contisports) i'm guessing we'll hit 14 flat to high 13's with slicks.

It's been in a few mags, one 'burnout of the month' pic in Sport Compact Car, one little paragraph in Honda Tuning...but we're now trying to get it into the Ulitimate Street Car Challenge that SSC puts on every year.

My goal with an xB or xA will be the same....the USCC!!!

and i'm asking our dealership, which has 22 franchises, if they are opening a scion location this June...i'll be the first working there
