Default HID Headlight Question

I found this on ebay today and was wondering if this is a real HID headlights?
From what I have seen HID's cost a lot more.

Please let me know what everyone thinks if it is a deal or dud?

looks like a deal

I guess they modified those headlamps to have good output for a Hid Kit.

Us tC owners aren't as fortunate as xB's cause there's companys that make AM headlights with projectors out there. IMO projector headlights and Hid kits look alot better and give better lightning output. I guess it ends up in personal preference.

You just have to make sure the projectors are made for hids.
i think this is an example.

Thats not an HID kit. You want to get a housing that has a projector. That kit on ebay is setup for halogens using HID bulbs. You will not get good results and you will blind everyone on the road. Look for projectors... they are designed for HID's and work awesome...

you will NOT blind people on the road, just point them down a little bit. Projectors give out just as much of a blinding effect. I get ZERO glare from the crystal clear stock glass. Until you've done it, dont say you will not get good results.

I had my HIDs on my Xrunner and when I sold it I put the stocks back in. Then I put the HIDS on my XB, it's a simple plug and play and it works great. So much better then stock. Yoy do need to point them down. Also about blinging everyone....there just like those lifted trucks, there no way around it.

Also that kit looks like a POS, get the projecter head lights for $100 and then get a good plug and play with a wiring harness.

I've done it both ways... Thats WHY OEM HID's use projectors..
HID projectors have a sharp cut-off.. you will not difuse the output. It will not blind oncoming traffic. A halogen relector is NOT designed around HID's. It will not throw the right pattern.. it WILL afect oncoming traffic...
Thats why they make projectors for HID's and don't use the same housing.. You're only fooling yourself... try doing it right and see the difference.
