Default HID Headlight xB Installation

Curious about ballast location for a bi-xenon HID installation, where did you mount four ballasts. Also does anyone have familiarity with the hi/lo on at the same time system. I live in a rural area and lots of light would be nice. And last any comments on the wiring/nonwiring harness issue, some claim you need a harness other say not neccessary. Pictures of the ballast install would be real nice.

the ballasts mount nicely in the little spot between the fender and engine bay.

I think the reg hid kit will be enough light for you, and you will save a lot of cash.

Get the wire relay harness, you don't want the startup voltage going through your stock harness.

Cant wait to install mine, ya the fender is Probably a good spot. I used to have them mounted somwhere in the upper bumper in my old xb in fear someone would find a way to ****** them, but after my accident they were squashed.
So probably the fender this time.

I had originally ordered a Bi-Xenon HID kit. I was told from a reputable source that Bi-Xenon HID's suck and that they are not worth the increase in price. A single HID kit will be more than enough... just FYI

Thanks for the input but to clarify:
If you don't install a bi-xenon lamp you'll only have a low or high beam, low beam only won't due where I live. The biggest problem is four ballasts vs. two.
Also what I was referring to was the kit where the high and low beam stay on when the high beam is selected.
I'll either buy a kit with a harness or buy the harness separate.
As an alternitive I've thought about going with driving lights but they should be mounted high, so where do they go?

you sure HID low beam won be enough? HID's are very bright.

And you still have a high beam with single HID kits (at least the Oznium kit does). They have a small Halogen bulb that lights up instead of the HID.
