So, if I ever see a green 15 fly over Kunsan, I know who to blame

NO ZOMGXB DO NOT leave your hood open in the rain....cause with your luck it will turn to freezing rain and you will have another ice related incident
You REMEMBER that? Great, JUST the legacy I want to leave! "Hi, I'm ZOMGxB, and everytime it snows something stupid happens to my car!" :D

Though you're probably right - something stupid will happen. And then I'll be up here posting like "NESTING BIRDS HAVE MOVED INTO MY ENGINE COMPARTMENT...NOW WHAT?"
My sister had Squirrels nesting in her Windstar van. She was actually driving the often but not quite daily. They chewed through some wires and disabled the car. After some removal of baby squirrels (which the parents carried away in fact) and a nearly $2000 insurance claim the van was good to go. So yeah stupid things happen. I nearly ran my Chevy Cavalier off the road due to bouncing like you described from ice. In my case it was mud. I had been fishing a long way back in a dirt road area in the rain. The mud collected in the wheels thick and evenly. I got out of there onto the highway and the mud dried out some. When I went over a bridge joint, some big chunks fell off the wheels causing a big imbalance to happen all at once. There I was driving along at 55-60 MPH and all the sudden all hell broke loose. The car was jumping all over like a Gerbil on crack It took a minute to figure out what was wrong. Once we did we tried pretty unsuccessully to remove the mud. A slow drive home later I had to remove all 4 wheels and remove the mud
