hit a tree... you'd have a jacked up Scion then

look in your manual for correct jack points.
lug size is in the wheel tech section.

Default ....Lift the frame, not the body....

The manual describes the places. Just behind the front wheels and just in front of the rear wheels. Look under the skirts and see the knoched spot where the sisor jack goes on the frame rail. Jackstands may pinch a hose or dent a body part if your not careful!

The lug nuts are 3/4 inch, I think. Do you mean the stud thread size?

Search for lug nuts and you should find all kinds of information including the exact size.
Search in 'Tread and Butter' section. This is the section for tires and wheels once you understand some (___ web) designers sence of alleged humor.

I always jack it up from a frame rail, and the lug nuts are 13/16". I don't know the metric counterpart, but I think that's somewhere around 21 or 22mm.

Actually, the "English" system is metric, the American system is SAE. And, yes, some parts are sae and some are metric on SOME cars. I know the lug nuts are either an sae size or so darn close it doesn't matter on the Scion. Now, my old Buick.... I swear sometimes metric and sae wouldn't fit!!!!

metric and SAE sockets are very simialr... 1/2" and 12mm can almost be interchanged. the 13/16" socket is a perfect fit on the lug nuts. many of my friends are techs, and they say it doesn't matter as long as the socket fits onto the nut or bolt like it should.
