The xb is a great "little" car. If I was being totaly honest, the high rpm's at 65 mph plus is the only drawback....and its not a drawback because there is plenty of power, the motor is designed to rev high and operates sweetly. Still....One must get used to engine buzz....Of Course stereo helps a lot.....and its more than a fair trade for gas mileage. Overall....You get the picture....Everybody here loves their Car....and based on the Echo....Should be reliable and cheap to operate.....Plus, plus, and then....

Read the Rebellious Boxes comparison by Car & Driver at:

Or just read the Scion xB part where it says:
"... The engine's revs drop smartly as your foot lifts and the clutch takes up so smoothly and promptly once you've changed up to the next gear. Although the lever usually gets all the credit, shifting actually involves harmony from a control trio; this one sings a happy tune..."

The xB has a wonderful relationship of engine to clutch to gearbox. I can tell you it feels and works great, and I have had or driven a whole lot of cars. Apparently the others can't do it as well as Scion.

definitely buy a box! yesterday made exactly one month that i've had mine and everyday i find new reasons to appreciate it more . prior to the box, i drove a jeep wrangler sport. so i see the big differences on the mpg, smoothness of the drive, passenger room, price and cargo room especially.

if you have a big dog (husky like mine), he/she will love it too!!!!!

I have regrets on buying mine.

There were a ton of them at the dealership I went to (Longo).... The salesman said "take your pick" and pointed to a row of scions. I chose Camo green because I figured I wouldn't have to wash it as much. I wish I got Polar White. That's the best color for me because I have a ton of Liquid paper. I could practically repaint the car every time it gets a scratch.

Now I have a scratch on my bumper from some dude who didnt know how to parallel park... and now I need to find some touch up paint.
