Sup xBoxers!

Got my first crack in the windshield the other day. I already got it fixed before it spread, but I have a feeling I'm going to me on a first name basis with the repair guy real soon!

I also got 3 paint chips, and a few nicks in the headlights. I finally got some clear headlight and foglight covers at allscion.com. I recommend these to all xB owners!


So I had my xBox for a month (2k miles) and got one crack in the windshield!

How many do you all have??

I don't have many cracks but I have 3 or 4 rock chips in my windshield. It sucks. I'll be taking full advantage of my insurance for it to be replaced.

 

None. Mine will get replaced for free when it happens, though, so I'm not worried about it. Ahhhh - the joys of living in FL

 

None anymore. I had two rock chips and a 12" crack (no comments please) and now I'm on windshield #2.

I got one the other day. It was a sad sad day. I had it fixed before it started to spread. Feels like the cars not new anymore.

I have been very fortunate...I have zero and I here all kinds of ____ hitting my wondow......so I have to knock on some wood right now....

 

None so far on our blue box. It has 1700 miles on it. The lava box has none also but only has 130 miles on it in 2 1/2 weeks of owning it.

 

I have 2 in mine. Fixed them 2 weeks ago but its starting to crack again. I will probably have to replace the whole windshield.....Bummmer!

 

Dont got none yet(knock on wood).....I hate damn semi. :twisted:

 

Funny, I got a cracked windshield the day you started this thread. No dings or anything else yet on the car I've had for two months. It was cold Monday AM (high 30's) and a little ice was on the glass when I left for work. Fifteen minutes later, as I was tooling up route 128, I suddenly notice a 10" crack coming up from the lower right corner. Maybe from thermal stress; definitely nothing hit the windshield. It's making me a little worried about what other bad surprises could be ahead....this is my third Toyota and I was hoping since it was assembled in Japan it would be the highest quality. Anybody else have a feel for whether this is ominous or just a freak thing?

 

i have about 6 or 7 in the windsheild.....a few on the hood and a big ___ key mark from the front to the back on the drivers side................

life sucks

 

mine has a couple of chips.. quite surprised that so many of you have had cracks so early on.. could this be an indication of inferior materials or a design fault? seems like the rake on the windshield is too steep for american highway debri?

 

Amazing how 1 small chipp can affect the way you look through you windshield everyday.... Oh well, it could be worse...

Would this have anything to do with strut tower bracing?

 

no cracks yet ...but I got 2 fatty chips on the passenger side , with that big ___ windshield it hard not to get them

 

just got my 2nd chip yesterday...
has anyone else from houston had problems getting hit by rocks and pebbles from concrete trucks on beltway 8?
