I just bought my XB and I read in the other forums how some guys are only getting 28 MPG. I can see if you are stomping the gas at every green light but what about just cuising? I used a little over a quarter tank for 100 miles.

 

If only Guam has a super highway, I'll be votin on the 35mpg. From wher I live, there is about ten trafic stoplights before my work place. Not to mention 3 school bus stops at my village, and all this the 7:00am rush hour. I get about 30mpg for all this stop and go traffic.

 

When I first got my car like a month ago the first full tank of gas I went atleast 300 miles and was only down to about 1/4 of the tank. Since then I haven't really paid attention.

 

My mileage went down a little bit when I installed the header. My guess is because it is more fun to get on it. When I cruise on the freeway, short shifting and staying overdrive I get well over 30 mpg.

 

i always get 28mpg, thats because my average speed on the freeway is 90mph... :D

 

My last tank was 26mpg, the highest i've ever had was 32mpg. I'm hopeing a CAI will help maybe even a header.

 

depends how heavy my foot hits the pedal..........between 32mpg and 40mpg when I dive no higher than 60mph I got 40mpg 408 miles 10.25 gallons

 

I regularly average 37 - 39 MPG!!! 39.7 has been my best. That's a combo of city & highway. That's summertime MPG. Wintertime drops to about 32-34. Changes in gas formulation and effects of ambient temp on engine efficiency are the main reasons in the drop. Like others have said, go easy on the gas peddle. What's the rush? This vehicle is about being seen, not speed or power.

 

There must be something wrong with my box.. i have a really really hard time getting over 24 mpg

 

My average is around 33/34 mpg. my worse has been 31 and best has been 37. I'm also rollin on stock steelies.

 

With a little over 6000 milse on it.I get 27/28 in town and 32/33 on the interstate doing between 60-65 mph. Which I am happy with>

 

If you got rims post what you have, I am curious what guys with 17's or 18's get.

 

I've had my box for a month and a half and the lowest I've gotten is 32mpg all city driving and the highest was 35mpg half hwy/half city. Most of my driving is in traffic. I'm in Alaska so it will be interesting when it gets colder this winter how much my mileage will drop.

 

23,000 miles; lowest mpg 35.4; highest mpg a tick over 40 (twice); average - probably right at 38.
A/C is a killer, as is highway driving. Don't have any city driving to speak of.

I'm happy!!

 

So far I've averaged about 31.2 mpg over the first 1200 miles on a stock CamoBox.

 

My very first tank of gas, I got about 34 mpg
