Default i dint really know where to put this but please help!!!

ok so i got some new tail light in and i was switching them over this evening. i get done with the left side and i go turn on the car to make sure everything's working good... i get in the car right turn single left turn single brake then when i go to put it in reverse i cannot get it to go into reverse. i have an auto so i punch the button on the side of the shifter and nothing its stuck in park!!! im panicking for a sec then i look up at the cluster the vsc the abs and the traction control lights are all on and i cant toggle the traction control button. i had a moment of sanity and i remembered the little white button underneath the cap to manually override the shifter so i got it in reverse. but whats going on what happened it still wont come out of park unless i push that button...
help plzzzzz

You pinched your tail lights wires against the chassis when you installed them- that's my guess.

Check all fuses in the underdash and underhood boxes.

well i got it fixed i think i hope. first of all i took out the lights i was trying to put in... i don't know if they are the cause just yet i am going to try and put them back in later but when i have a full day in case this happens again. but what i ended up doing was for the most part was a hard reset on the abs and the ecu... i just took out all the fuses and relays that had to do with either one of those 2 in all the fuse boxes and just kept them out for about 10 mins. cranked the car once turned it ff then cranked it again and they all wen away and i could shift again...

but please if anyone has had this happen to them an know what i did to my poor baby please tell me... so i never do it again...

Has happened to me. You pinched wires installing the tail lights. Take them out. Fix any damaged wires and reinstall, no pinching this time. Seems like a fuze will be blown also, find and replace it should then be all better.
