Default I got my floor mats replaced under warranty and found out...

That Scion finally changed the design of the floor mats!

They were originally that wierd burber carpet material (that seemed to attract objects)

The dealership swapped them out for the newly designed mats that are a carpet material. the are just like the mats that are in other toyotas. I was preety stoaked about that.

Also the dealership swapped out my Fogs (for fogging up) - BUT they put some minor nicks in my paint! ARGH- im going to go see if i can touch it up!

How did you get them replaced? Was it for excessive wear?

I have an 05 yet I have the 04 floor mats. Can I just take em in for a swap or do they need to see them noticeably worn down ?

If the dealership put nicks in your paint, bring it to their attention. Don't try and touch it up yourself. Sometimes they can buff it out and it won't be noticeable.

I have the release series mats for the tc - I pulled them out and replaced them with different mats. I don't think I can get replacments for the special mats- at least not right now. I wanted to keep them pretty...

yeah, mine is an 05' and I got the older styles as well.

The edges of the old mats have a thick edging made of string. The passenger side began to unravel so i made the drivers side unravel too

So I took it to the dealership and brought it to thier attention! they swaped it out for the new stlye mats which i love!

The nicks in the paint ( from them trying to get out the fogs), I was able to touch up myself. i took ALOT of pictures prior to me touching up, and I will post the results soon.....

I didn't even bother with the factory mats, and stopped at Target on my way home from the dealer and bought clear plastic Rubbermaid mats. Well, they looked CLEAR under the flourescent lights at Target. Once I got them outside, I saw they glow PURPLE.

Looks really cool with the Solar Yellow...

Can some one post a photo of both mats please, I'm not sure if I have the old ones or the newer ones. Purchased our xB March 5th of this year.

yeah, the factory floor mats suck... i only had mine unprotected for about two months and they already have wear on them. i've had plastic mats on top of them for about a year now, but there is still wear that will be permanent. i wonder if i should just ditch the plastic mats and let them wear out.

my dealership is kind of shady (claremont) so i'm worried abou them actually swapping them out for me
