Default I just got an xB.

I'm really happy with it, its truly the perfect car for me.

I'm not much of a junkie for this stuff, but I've been lurking on this site for a bit and noticed all the cool things that you can do with this car.

I'd really like to change the rims, and maybe tint all the windows, and lower it (possibly)

I'm really trying to keep it cheap, but what are the best options out there?

I'm curious to know if I should get larger rims, and just toss my 15/factory wheels. Or just get regular 15in rims and use the factory tires.

Things like that. I love the car though, I've been trying to educate myself as much as possible on this stuff so forgive my newbie talk.

Also is there a way to get some lights inside the car? The dome light does nothing for the wide open interior.

im not sure where u live but in chicago we have bad winters and tossing the tires would be a bad idea, but good look with ur xB even if u did post in an xA thread ;)

Stop your lurking and jump in!! Welcome to the fraternity of box owners. It all depends on how much you have to spend for the rims. Here is a cheap solution if you want to keep your steelies:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...light=steelies

You are looking at a couple of hundred bucks to lower your ride. Take a look at the parts section under the features tab. You can research various parts including new springs. No matter what--don't toss your steelies--you never know when you might need. Good luck to you!!

yeah I'll definately keep the factory wheels, but does anyone know/have a preference on what rims look better?

15 or 17?

if you get 17 should you lower it? etc.

and does anyone know anything about getting light into the car?

I like 17's in the box....6 0r 7 spoke....Lowering is up to you, but most say drop it at least an inch...

my personal opinion is none of the scions look good without a drop. a person i work with has a tC and i think it looks horrid without a drop. opinion though, of course.
