Has anyone else checked out Scion's website with the pics of the RS.1? I checked it out again today since I put down my money for the vehicle and they have a new close shot of the engine compartment with the tie bar and it has the CAI in orange. Does anyone know if it going to be an option outside of the normal package or is it also going to be another nice extra in the RS.1?

I noticed that as well, you know if it is the picture then in my opinion it should be included, would that not be kinda like misleading ....... if it was not included !

I have such a great feeling that Scion will take care of those who have the Lava coming !

Hey CB - May I ask what mods your planning on tackling ?

It is my understanding that Lava intake will not be a standard feature of the RS... though it is in the pictures and it looks good, I assume it will be available as an option. I have been told that it is against Federal Law for a dealer to sell a car with a CAI on it because it alters the original condition, which is the same condition that was tested for the EPA.
So it would have to be sold as an aftermarket item...

yeah there is a law about it but i think its just a california c.a.r.b. law. when i was first shopping the box (late june) all the salesmen got all ____y(cause they would lose sales over it) when i would ask about the aem inake and install cost. (500+ at some stores) and also toyota would kick back any credit apps with the intake included on them. so if you wanted one it was coming out of your down.

along this line of thought. wouldnt it be cool if all the scion performance parts from trd(or at least sold via dealer) were orange! kind of like all the subaru sti parts being hot pink?

i dunno it would be following and all but i think it would be cool. Imagine reworked scion badges (to maybe indicate a turbo model ) orange in the middle to stand out against whatever your body color was. or changing the trd springs to orange. this could be simple enough couldn't it?

Im going with an interesting combo .....

1. Wheels .....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2457212674

Im going to upgrade the tire to Yoko's. Im thinking 215/40R17s

2. Tails ....
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6347

3. Black Powder Coat Injen intake.

4. Rear cargo mat, covers entire rear with seats folded

5. Shaved emblems ( i know this is gonna include the dealers advertising too )

6. Clear the corners

Thats pretty much it. Maybe some coilovers in the future. I cant get too crazy, it is after all, a business car.

Doc was right...again.

Scion.com now has the 6cd changer listed as included with the rs1. It also has the AEM orange cold air intake as an option.

I might have to get that just for the color...

Nice job Doc! :D

I might have to get that CAI too if it does in fact come in Hot Lava orange. I was planning on going with an aftermarket like Injen, but why not go with the TRD one!?
Woohoo! :D

I drive too fast for an orange box - way too easy to spot. I'll probably get more tickets anyway. Glad you guys are getting so many goodies thrown in though. Makes the special edition that much more special.
