Default Inspect this-

I live in Jersey, just bout my xB- but i bought in New Hampshire-(why you ask? saved me 2k) I guess the dealers added tint to the front windows that it normally doesnt have, not that its a big deal to me because i like tint -but because i had to take it through inspection, they failed me for having tint on the windows- what bastards- i mean it will only take two minutes to take it off, but this tint is so light that i really didnt realize it had tint- So i wasted my whole lunch break waiting in line at the DMV just to get a big 'ol REJECTED sticker slapped on the windshield-

Had to vent- sorry-

DMV

if you bought it new in NJ you would have 4 yrs till the first one...

states that do not mandate inspections are just letting hazards stay out on the road...

I'm glad that I'm regestered in FL. Vehicle inspections are rediculous, and hit families with low income the hardest. I think that if a vehicle is blatently unsafe, then the person should be sited by a cop. If I ever live in any state that requires anything of this sort, I'll just get an old car that doesn't require the inspection (i.e. cars prior to 1972 in most states are exempt from emissions tests)

the inspection does not cost a thing...its part of your normal registration....
and burdening cops with maintaining vehicle safety, would force the dept to hire more cops and increasing the tax burden on those low income people....
