Welp, my dad went to a Chevy dealership to upgrade his busted old truck. They gave him a really good deal and were very interested in moving some cars. I went with him to pick it up yesterday and saw that they are tied to a Subaru dealership. Got there at noon in my RS4 xB with 18,810 miles on it, and left at 6pm in my 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition.

They wanted to toy with all the numbers step by step but I told them I didn't care what they had to do to get me to $400/month. After a few trips to the office, they marked it all in as a $10920 trade in and gave me a coupon for $1080 off the sticker price. I ended up only paying $14k for the new one according to the sheet.

I will miss the box, but I love the Legacy. I've wanted one for a while now. Of course it isn't a SpecB, but I'm content either way.

Getting rid of the box is a shame, but you can't go wrong with a new Legacy. They're excellent cars.

 

my dad drives a Legacy 2.5 GT Limited they rock...but another owner gone...sad....

Never bargain for a monthly payment amount. You will lose. They stole your trade in too BTW.

 

Xb resale seems to be dropping fast.....

 

Temporary only till gas hits 4 bucks a gallon again come warm weather.
Trading in a mint low mile xB for that low price was a mistake IMO. It would have sold much higher privately but that's the price you pay when you gotta have something NOW.
