Default Its spelled....S....C...I....O...N

Went to Keokuk, Iowa over the weekend in the new box. Its a small town but you would have thought I just landed in a UFO! Many stares, lots of double takes, etc. But by far the best were the comments...
Man in a jacked up 4x4...."Looks like you need 2 of them..."
Man in a parking lot to his teen daughter...."Its one of those England cars."
Old man looking at the box....."Whatcha deliverin?"
But by far the best was when we were coming out of the grocery store. There was an old woman at the front of my Xb, she was yelling to 3 other old women in a running car behind my Xb. The rear passenger door on the car was open and the woman YELLED to the other women....."IT SAYS......S...C....I....O....N, HELL, I DON'T KNOW...THAT'S WHAT IT SAYS!!!!!"

lol, thats too funny. Some people have the weirdest reactions to the xB. I love it when I come out of the store or something, and see people looking in the windows and walking around it. Oughta hit the panic button on the remote one of these days and make em jump

Oh I thought this post was going in the direction of

"Its spelt S C I O N" "Sigh-ON!!"

No.... not See-on

No.... not Skee-on

SIGH-ON!!

Thats funny you mention the english car thing, that was some old dude said to me to.

My quote of the week is from a gas station attendant (looked like the creepy hick dude from Harold & Kumar) , mind you I took my hubcaps off and I have my steelies polished....

"That's a brand new car, and it doesn't come with hubcaps!?!?"

No, the Quote of the week is:
"Well, well, well. Look what the cat cleaned up, showered, exfoliated, powdered, lipsticked, Gucci'd and dragged in."

I kid thee not, I get someone, every day, asking me what the car is, if it's a car, and not some SUV, and how do you say, 'SCION'?

And, since mine has no xB badge on it, and a Japanese symbol, I make up names, when I'm in the right mood.

Today I said that the symbol, in JAPANESE, stood for "Tiny Car"

They bought it.

Love that image!

At a nice sit-down restaurant I eat in every now and then, if I get sat in the right place, through the massive view window I can see my xB parked out front in the handicapped slots, right next to the main door.

It is absolutely amazing how many folks going in and out of that door pause to puzzle at the xB and often take a complete loop around it and peer in the windows.

One older couple (70's?) was especially cute. The wife patiently waited while hubby made three complete orbits of my xB and examined every detail. Finally he had his wife dig out a piece of paper from her purse and read off s c i o n for her to write down.

From his expression (and her exasperated look), I think he wants one...

I spent 5 minutes in a White Castle drive thru talking about my car with the dude. He says he wants to pick one up.

I was coming out of Home Depot the other day and mind you I park a million miles away from anyone and there was a minivan parked right next to me. I just shake my head and think why someone would park right next to me when there are so many other places to park. Turns out it was a couple in thier 50's checking out the ride. They were cool peeps so I let them in the box , they fiddled with the stereo, put the seats down etc..... they were sold on the spot and I don't even work for toyota/scion.

I was walking into a 7/11 one morning when this guy stops me and starts asking all sort of questions, he even asked how it "fits" for bigger guys so I let him sit in it, I think i sold him on it, wheres my commission check? I've also had one woman say it looks like a Hummer did it with a Honda, that made me laugh.

I've had several " is that one of them "hybrid" cars ?", I too removed the logos just so no one can figure it out. Have been debating on putting the Audi rings on it or some other logo. I ran into another one in Pa., the guy had added a Freightliner emblem to the hatch, about 8 inches wide, 1 inch high, looks like it belongs there.

I have heard of that Box! Don't know where I have heard about it, but I have. I wonder if that Box is on this site.
