I was at McDonald's at lunch the other day... sitting in the drive thru lane... and the manager lady came out of drive thru "just to get a better look". Then when she said "it's cute" I tried to run over her. ;)

i've had so many comments it's ridiculous. I had my car the first week they camse out in chicago. Now everybody and their mother has em'

 

A converation I've had multiple times:

"What kind of car is that?"

"Scion."

"Who makes it?"

"Scion."

"Where can I get one?"

"Scion."

Then I drive away.

 

I had a kid come up to the car last night at Sonic, told me it was his favorite car, and that he wanted a white one with black flames. I saw his dad a few minutes later, he told me how his son can spot them a mile away all over town. He was only 9 or 10, but I think hes sold already!

 

I had more than one person react totally shocked when I told them, "uhhh, no, it's not electric."

 

Hes here on the boards. the name escapes me though :-(

 

A security guard at my school, the ONLY one who gives me tickets, spells it "SCRION" .... go figure, he must be SOOPER edge u kated! It says SCION on the car in like 4 places, GET IT RIGHT!

 

LMAO.....SCRION!

 

I drive the xA but at the local Wally world I overheard a remark about my Scion that was from the seriously uninformed, quote "Thats one of those sky-ons, ugly box truck things" (Yes! the lady was referring to my xA. Some people just repeat what they hear without ever knowing the truth at all.

 

i got pulled over in my box for speeding one night (it was late and i was in one of those non caring moods) I never got a ticket but i sat there and talked to the cop about my car for about 30 minutes. I think he was more interested in figuring out what the hell i was driving rather than giving me a ticket. I actually think if i had been driving something else he would have never pulled me over.

 

"It's a Scion xB. Scion is a new car line from Toyota, kind of like they did with Lexus, but focused on a younger market. It's all Toyota guts and really a well-proven powertrain and you can't beat the styling..."

Damn, I need a tatoo of that one or maybe I should just vinyl that on the side. Could someone photoshop that on a lava for me??

Anyway, yeah, Keokuk, um, even I don't go there on purpose... I've driven around that town every time I've gone that way...

Our club (ScinergyIA) did a caravan through the town of Newton, Iowa a couple months back. People just freakin' STOPPED dead in their tracks. Several guys nearly knocked themselves out with their own mullets!
