Yeah I think that is possible with the OEMs but i am not 100% sure. what is the difference between the two? also, if you want a yellow look, you could just put some HIDs in your OEMs. Make sure its 3000K for the yellow look: http://www.delonixradar.com.au/hid-x...lour-chart.php

They're very similar. If you're just gonna color them, throw yellow on the OEMs and call it a day.

I thoguht JDM fogs were clearer, much more like the headlight. the OEM ones are fogged for no reason. Yeah they'll fit fine.

here's some info in the JDM switch
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...=jdm+foglights

info on other lights and more on the JDM fogs
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...=jdm+foglights

and some pictures (from the interwebz)

OEM FOGS

and one of OEMs on my car (shameless)

rims and suspension to come.

The diff is that the JDM fogs are chromed inside instead of the dull gray metal on the OE ones, also the lens is a little clearer. You can just switch the fog lights your current stock (2wire) switch will work just fine. Some like to switch to the JDM switch (4 wire) and use it to make the fogs wired independent from the headlights. Currently your fogs wont turn on unless the low beams are on and turn off when switched to high beams.

You can also clip the ground wire on the fog light switch and ground it to the frame and you'll have total independent use of them.

And I don't even know if the lens is different, the JDM ones are full chrome and look better, but if you're gonna cover it with yellow vinyl, why waste the money?

don't do that! then you have to turn off your fog lights every time you exit your car, and believe me, that's gonna end up giving you a dead battery.

Yeah, absolutely do not do what stan says. What a pain that would be. Especially with the stock battery being as bad as it is.

Eh, I've been running mine like that for two years and I've never had a problem, guess it depends on how aware you are.

Just a quick suggestion... instead of going out and purchasing a set of JDM fogs (essentially no difference other than which parts of the housing are reflective), you should crack them open and polish them.

The fog lights are aluminum, therefore you can polish them to a very high near chrome shine. There's no additional light output at all, so keep that in mind. The reason why I did it was so the fog lights looked brighter when they are off. The result was a very clean look to the stock fogs.

Here's what it looked like the day I finished the polishing and installed the fogs:

Here's another shot taken at Scion Pinups... they hold their luster just fine.

Almost forgot, here's the link to more information on how to do it: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=156252

literally, just reach down and turn the harness. there is plenty of room to get to them from the top.

Access on the passenger side is a bit tight, but yea, just a quarter twist and done.

damn now i wish i did a diy for mine.

mine were soo badly condensated inside so i needed to fix them anyways. but all i did was of course take them apart using the oven method. Sanded the insides completely down with 220grit then again with a dremal tool wire wheel.
then cleaned out dust, bought some chrome looking Krylon paint. sprayed the insides. 3 coats.
used a good sealing compound sorta caulking. then wetsanded the lens with 600 grit. then again with 1500 grit. then sprayed 2 coats your choice of how dark or light. i chose not too dark but 2coats of Crown Yellow stained glass over. then clear coated with 3coats of urathane spray paint. all in all. i spent less than 30$ in canadian so down there it would be cheaper.

Cheaper then the ebay jdm fogs i seen going for 40$ + shipping. ill have to get a pic and put it up.
