I've been through alot of posts but the more I read, the more i get confused. At first, I was interested in the JDM Toyota Bb headlights. Now when I am finally ready to purchase it, I am finding new forums about gen-1 and gen-2 JDM Bb headlights. So my quetion is: What is the difference between the two and do any of you have pics to show either of the two headlights from front, sides, and back?

Secondly, I have a Dual Beam HID kit which allows me to utilize an HID bulb but has a ballast that switches that one bulb from low beam to high beam rather than running on highs all the time. On my original headlight assembly that i have on my '05 xb right now, it overheated and blacked out a part (only the top part above the bulb) of the chrome reflector inside the headlight assembly. I am wondering if i will have the same issue if i replaced that headlight assembly with a JDM style?

I would appreciate any and all help i can get also if you can lead me to any places/websites that i can get the headlights for a decent price?

The second gen headlights look like our USDM headlights in our scions so i dont know why anyone would really want a set of them..


i cant answer your other problems because i have not heard of that problem before...

i have seen the gen1 bb headlights on ebay they run about $300 or so, you can find them on here sometimes and on the other xB sites???

 

thanks for the pic. so even the jdm gen-2 is the same as ours here in the U.S? nothing different?

 

the difference from what i believe is that the US is clear and the Japaneses head light is not just look at the my image and the top image.

 

gen 2 is similar to USDM but has a separate section for HIbeam, it's not a single H4bulb. it also utilized HIDs from factory.

does the gen-2 also have the "humps" for the parking lights? or are they flush with the bumper lines? and if they are flush, anyone know where i can get my hands on one?
