Default jerk driver..

so i was driving home, on a road that is 45 mph, i was doing 50, and out of nowhere this crv comes speeding up behind me and got on my bumper and flashes his brights, then goes around me doing atleast 65 and gives me the finger.. i continue doing 50, and he gets real far ahead of me.. but i come up behind him at a red light.. so i put my brights on and just drive behind him.. then he gets over and hits the brakes, yelling at me as i pass him.. then he gets behind me and puts his brights on.. so im going about 60 mph and i put it in 3rd and speed up to get ahead a bit because he was making me nervous.. well he comes flying up behind me and gets up on my bumper.. maybe an inch from it.. at this time he starts honking at me.. gets beside me and swerves into my lane at my car.. so i drop it in 3rd again and floor it.. and caught a chance where the median isnt there.. i pull hard left into the center lane and hit the brakes down to about 35 and put it into second.. floor it.. catch up to him and got his plates.. my fiance called the police and we told them what happened.. i hope that ____er gets pulled.. i really thought he was going to hit my car..

yea i know i shouldnt have flashed brights back at him.. but still.. for him to chase me down and seriously try to hit me or cause me to wreck.. what an _______..

in my experience, those who actually ARE manly men (read: "those who can open jars without assistance") rarely feel the need to start crap with the 20-something drivers of tiny japanese economy cars.

Odd...i thought all the three-inch-penised men already had hummers. must be the recession.

props to you for getting his plates!

yea it was scary getting his plates.. i had to do about 80 in a 45.. the roads were empty except for me and him.. i felt i need to get them, he really could have injured me and my fiance.. so i guess it was a risk on my part, but hopefully it payed off and he got pulled.

i didn't flash brights or anything though. just some nutcase in a large van slammed right into the side of my box.

i really do think there are some people that just hate the xB so much that they will refuse to drive behind one and do whatever it takes to pass us no matter how fast we are currently going.

im glad he didnt hit me because i have bad anger problems. if he had hit me and then stopped to fight me or whatever.. i would have went to the back of my car and pulled out the big wrench i carry and beat the guy.. i know it isnt what you should do in a situation like that but sometimes my anger gets the best of me, i would have ended up in jail.

yea no matter how bad somebody wrongs you... always have to keep your mind in-tune with the "legal" realm of life. about the worst thing you could do is assault somebody that road raged you because now you just committed an illegal infraction as well. of course they would sue and your car insuarance definitely doesn't cover comp and collision for your wrench breaking some guys face. better to just play it cool and take them for all you can get.

want to make a guy learn a lesson? dip into his pocketbook.

You answered your own question. The way people are today it just doesn't pay to confront them in any manner. Hopefully you learned a lesson.

A while ago, I had a guy tailgate me with his brights on in a Camry for 15 miles because I was doing the speed limit. Plenty of chances to pass, that dude was just a butthole.

Most people are way too stupid to realize that pulling stuff like this is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS, and could easily kill everyone involved.

Something similar happened to me.

I bought headlights a couple months ago and it had cheap bulbs in it, I was going to replace them the next day. I hit the rumble strips on the road and both dims blow.

So instead of taking the Parkway, I take the long way home. Well this old trucks doing the speed limit, but when I get up behind him he decides he's going to slow down to 30. ____ed me off. I was trying to pass him every chance I had, because I felt bad about having to drive with my brights on. He would speed up so I couldnt. I finally pass him going about 70 in a 35 . A minute later he speeds up on me with his brights, I slow down to a good 30, turn my system up and ignore his honking.

The only thing to do with nutbars like this is to stay far FAR away from them. Stop if you have to and let them go elsewhere where they can't hurt you.

I was recently reminded of how dangerous these nuts can be by a 2-1/2 week trip to the body shop for my xB1. Two other drivers were getting into it at a light, one of them panicked and _backed_ into me. Hard.

No no, the manliest of men on the road are driving minivans.

You can see quite a bit of pent-up aggression there if you pay attention to how they drive

I carry the handle to my jack in front of my passenger seat. it's long, metal and has a handle: great for dealing with morons.

I have had many people mess with me and the box. I drive really calmly too. One time I had a guy in a landscaping truck run my off the road, 3 times. I would pass him to get away and he would come right back and shove me over again. I'm just glad I got out of there without any damage. You be glad too.
