Default JUst bought a SCION!!!

Yea so I am completly exstatic about my new car... i drove a 93 turbo civic, a 2000 integra ls 12 sec all motor with nos... and now think i have upgraded all to a Scion xB. had to get it ordered, and am kind of wiery on some of the factory options i got. What do you guys think... First off black... Civic was black integra was white.... really couldnt decide what color to choose. i wanted lava so bad, but it was too hard to get where i live here in dallas. i got the factory spoiler.. 300 bucks... was it worth it or should i have waited and just an after market cf or just a painted one. and then last was the alarm system. i have always done my own electronics and security systems, but was wondering if 500 was really good for the scion security system and what all features it has. thanks guys and happy riding to everyone, time to slow down and enjoy the world behind the Box!!!!

Congrats. The spoiler is nice. We got only fogs on both of ours. Granted part of the hot lava package was a spoiler. The scion security sytem is junk. Cancel that and go aftermarket. You'll find a lot of gear heads in here with fast cars.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome aboard to the Scion family :D

I think the spoiler is well worth the extra cash...Albeit my lava came with one, I would have payed for it anyway...It adds a lot of character to the rear end of the box

I didn't get the security system installed...I opted to get Lo/Jack, and just kept the factory keyless entry settings it comes with...To me, alarms these days get ignored...If someone wants your box, they're gonna get it if they know what they're doing...So the way I see it, Lo/Jack can get it back should it be stolen, or at least cough up 5 grand for a new down payment if they can't

Happy and safe driving to all!!!

Congrats. I like the OEM spoiler on the Black xB, definately a good choice. If you want to switch out to a VIS OEM style Carbon Fiber spoiler I beleive it uses the same mounting points, so you still have that option.

Have fun with it!

Doesn't all motor mean no NOS?

Congrats on the Scion...they are fast. The other day I raced a street sweeper and I didn't screw up my shift, I totally would have had him. Damn automatic.

yes yes all motor means no nos, but my car had it. completely built bottom end with all skunk 2 head internals, and then the zex dry 100 jet kit, but i have moved on to bigger and better things now

Congrats and Welcome to ScionLife...

I will have to agree with everyone here when saying that the Spoiler is a good Dealer installed accesory and the security system sucks, go aftermarket.

Don't forget to update your profile and Register your car once you have it!

Good Luck! :D

ok well heres my second line of order... the car is black, and i want to add as much as possible as soon as possible. so i start with the tail lights... keep em stock, or go with cherry red, those are the only options i will consider. i am also going to buy some either gun metal, or hyper black wheels with as big as a lip as possible. any suggestions or thumbs up or down, let me know everyone. thats about it for now, besides lowering it, which i already have tein springs for it.
