Default Just ordered parts ~ Feedback PLEASE !

Just ordered the strup header, agency power pulley, and cusco frame brace.

i was wondering if anyone had the follow (or very similar) setup and could give feedback or impressions on the setup, such as noticeable changes, pros/cons, etc ...

AEM dealer CAI
Strup Header
TRD dealer exhaust
Aftermarket Pulley (agency or perrin)

Also, is the frame brace a noticeable mod with the front hotchkis dealer strut bar when doing daily driving ?

any other suggestions for mods that are reasonable for a college budget and keep daily driving comfortable ?

thanks in advance for any comments or feedback !

Look at the thread warning about aftermarket pulleys.

TRD exhaust sounds alright, not too loud.

AEM CAI is just like others out there. Just watch out for puddles.

Strup header, people ahve had problems with the flange not being straight, but it was an isolated issue.

It all causes lower gas milage... DON'T DO IT !!!!!

I know, you're asking how does it cause lower gas mileage?

Cause you won't keep your foot outta of it when you're done !!

Heck I should be getting like 38 mpg.. but I only get like 29... vroom vroom vroom..

You'll enjoy all of it..

yeah, there's no problem with the agency power or perrin pulleys made for the xB, as they're not underdriven or harmonically whatever that are special to some older performance cars.

not too worried about the strup header not aligning totally perfectly, as i'm taking my car to a good shop to install the header and pulley. should be quality work, and i'm sure they'll make it fit if it's not quite right.

how much louder does the addition of the header make the engine ? (car has the intake and exhaust already) will it attract the attention of cops ? ricey, no ricey ?

I have the AEM CAI and the TRD exhaust... installed separately. The AEM sounds great and helps power and throttle response. I like it.

The TRD exhaust is pretty droney at highway speeds. I highly recommend some sound deadening. The hatch was easiest and made the biggest difference of all the areas I deadened. I noticed some power increase, but it was marginal.

agreed on the sound deadening. The car has ZERO sound deadening and a mere 250.00 in dynamat extreme really did the trick. That box will do from under the rear seats, all the way back to the deck lid (deck lid included). I highly recommend this, expecially if you have kids or rear passengers regularly.

My kid instantly noticed that we actually talked durning road trips.. Normally, she couldn't hear any of the conversation that was occuring up front and she just kinda spaced out until we'd yell and ask her what was up..

Plus.. having rear decklid done makes the lid sound really solid when you close it. I've got mine fully done and it is marginally slower opening on the shocks, but stays open correctly.

I did everything from front of rear seats and back, plus the doors. I also noticed a huge difference in the ability to actually talk to the passengers while cruising at 80.

wow, intalled the pulley within a lunch break, that's impressive. sound deadening may be a future mod, but i'm not too concerned right now.

still wondering how the header will affect City driving and Highway driving ?
